Sorry about my head being chopped off. It looked right on the screen, but cut off when I played it back. Live and learn!

Purpose to Profits Breakthroughs

Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting a call with local San Diego business coach/”transformationist” Ted McGrath of Rize Global.

The call was geared towards members of my list at Tri Swim Coach. So the talk was about how success in sports relates to success in business.

Ted talked about how all of life is driven by potential. Our lives are driven by our FULL potential selves. And problems are just a part of life, that can be overcome by potential solutions. Typically, we trade problems- often for a bigger solution.

Lance Armstrong’s coach Jeff Spencer talks about the idea of butterflies in your stomach before a big event or race being a normal thing. It’s a natural signal to your body that something big is upcoming, and it’s time to get ready. This knowledge can literally propel you to “keep swimming”, or to sink in the water!

Ted talked about envisioning what it is you need to do to get what you want.  Close your eyes, and practice simply breathing. 2 seconds in, hold for 2 seconds, and release. Just notice what you feel throughout your body, and the presence you feel.  Tune in to your best self! Then, ask yourself: what is the problem I need to work on, right now? Go with the first answer that comes up.

But the point of this talk comes down to one thing, and that’s breakthroughs.

Everyone has a story to tell, something unique they can teach the world.

The only way I can see to have a really fulfilling, happy life is to find this purpose, and create a formula, or business out of it. If you can do this, money will not be an issue.

Personally, I’m in the middle of my transition right now. I love helping people, and I’ve done this with teaching swimming for many years. But I feel a pull in another direction now. I’m passionate about living free, or as free as possible. I’m now helping people with their online businesses, which is very exciting and rewarding. I also am in the midst of teaching how to get to this type of freedom I know is possible.

What about you? Are you living your passion, nowhere near, or somewhere in between? I’d love to here your story!
